From end to beginning

You never let me say goodbye in person
I didn't get that final hug
I spoke to you a few days earlier
And then it was the end...

I hugged you on Christmas
You smiled when you saw your gift
You said you love me on New Year
You held me close before my flight

You never agree with my decision
You thought it wasn't wise
But still I left
I decided to go

I kick my feet
I move my arms
I feel like I'm trapped

It feels like I'm floating
Surrounded by water
This is where I started
This is where I began

In your womb

The similarity and yet uniqueness of grief & loss

For someone that has gone thru my fair share of loss and grief, one thing that I believe to be true is that grief is grief and loss is loss. The loss of my cat is no less an emotion than that of your breakup. A loss of a brother is no less than that of a parent or a child. Loss is loss. Let's stop trying to put an amount on pain, it's not a competition! Understand that you can't understand the pain the other person is going through because; we all experience pain and deal with it, in our own way.
