The common thread...

We, as women, constantly say how cruel men are...

I think I may have found the common thread...

They don't just appear
We give birth to them
They don't just develop
We nurture them
They don't just get hurt
One of us did it first

We ask why they are the way they are
When we, as women, are the common thread in all their lives

The similarity and yet uniqueness of grief & loss

For someone that has gone thru my fair share of loss and grief, one thing that I believe to be true is that grief is grief and loss is loss. The loss of my cat is no less an emotion than that of your breakup. A loss of a brother is no less than that of a parent or a child. Loss is loss. Let's stop trying to put an amount on pain, it's not a competition! Understand that you can't understand the pain the other person is going through because; we all experience pain and deal with it, in our own way.
