The stranger within

I silently knock at your door, waiting for your to open up and let me in
Your stare at me with knowing eyes
The facade does not blind you to see the real me
The layers of which I am to be made of
I look to see your surroundings
And to see if I can be me
You hold one hand out to welcome me whilst closing the door with the other
The door so nearly closes in my face, you want to hide me
You pull me through the small opening where few eyes can see
I do not exist in most worlds
You do not exist in most worlds
We can not exist without one another
I let you in to look around, to see through the facade
To guide me in the dark
